Titus the Knitted Monkey (in English)

knitted monkeyStanding Titus the Monkey measures about 23 cm (9 inch) to tip of head, sitting – 14,5 cm (5,7 inch). Pattern include instructions for a toy and for a sleeping bag.All pieces of the toy are knitted flat.

MATERIALS:
Needles: size 2 (2.75mm) straight
Leftovers in dark and light brown for monkey’s body, grey, navy, red and white yarn for a sleeping bag. Black yarn to embroider for nose, mouth and eyes.
Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
Stitch holder
Tapestry needle
If you use thicker yarn and bigger size of needles you get a bigger toy.
We use:
25 g of acrylic in brown (100g = 300m - 328 yds),
5 g of acrylic in white (100g = 300m - 328 yds),
5 g of acrylic in denim (100g = 300m - 328 yds yds)
5 g of acrylic in blue (100g = 300m - 328 yds yds)

Tester the Knitted Dog - - knitting pattern (in English)

The Dog is made from worsted acrylic yarn. His clothes are knitted from DK. Sitting Doggie measures about 22 cm (8,7 inch). All pieces of the toy are knitted flat.
MATERIALS:
Dog: needles size US 4 (3,5mm)
Worsted yarn for body: in brown and grey: 150 g in brown, 50g in grey (100 g =147m /161 yards)
Clothes: needles size US 4 (3,5 mm)
Leftovers in blue, white and black from different projects in DK.

Amigurumi Pocket Bunnies - free pattern

WOW! Can you believe it’s been one whole year since we published our first knitting pattern - Flower Power Elephant? Today is our 1st year shop anniversary! We want to thank everyone for visits on our site. Thanks for all your commitment and interest in our knitting toys patterns. Our doors are always open and we are more than happy to create new patterns for all of you.
To celebrate our anniversary, we are offering next free pattern - Amigurumi Pocket Bunny.
The Amigurumi Pocket Bunnies are made from very small amounts of yarn. They measure about 12 cm (4,7 inch). The pattern is written in two versions: on DPNs and on stright needles.
What you need to make:
MATERIALS:
Needles size 2 1/2 (3mm) DPNS,
Leftovers from different projects of a similar gauge in DK or worsted in dark green, light green, lavender and black yarn.
Stitch holder

The body is worked in the round. No ugly seams and you have only to make few other things to finish your knitting.
Body, head and legs (in one piece ) Knit round starting from a top of head. Cast on 9 stitches using lavender yarn. Distribute among 3 needles and join. Place marker.
Rnd 1: K all sts
Rnd 2: (K1, M1) x 9 ( 18 sts)
Rnd 3: K all
Rnd 4: (K3, M1) x 6 ( 24 sts)
Rnds  5 - 16: K (12 rnds)
Change yarn into light green.
Rnds 17 - 18: K (2 rnds)
Change yarn into dark green.
Rnds 19 - 28:  K (10 rnds)
Change yarn into light green.
Rnd 29 - 30: K (2 rnds)
Shaping legs
Now work on 12 sts only. Knit round. Distribute the 12 sts among 3 needles and join.
First leg:
Rnd 1 - 6: K (6 rnds)
Rnd 7: (K2, K2tog) x 3 ( 9 sts)
Rnd 8: K
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off. Now stuff the body and first leg.
Second leg – Now knit left 12 sts. Knit round.
Rnds 1 - 6: K (6 rnds)
Rnd 7: (K2, K2tog) x 3 ( 9 sts)
Rnd 8: K
Cut yarn. Stuff the leg. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Ears (make2 pieces) Knit round. Cast on 9 stitches using light green.. Distribute the sts among 3 needles and join.
Rnds 1 - 10: K (10 rounds)
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Arms ( make 2 pieces) – knit round.
Cast on 9 sts using lavender yarn.
Rnds 1 - 10: K (10 rounds)
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Tail ( make 1 piece) – knit round.
Cast on 9 sts using light green yarn. Distribute the sts among 3 needles and join.
Rnds 1 - 4: K (4 rounds)
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Make up
Neck and head: Sew the hole on top of head. To shape neck use light green yarn and gather around first knitted row of light green round. Pull up tightly and secure. Sew yarn ends into neck.
Stuff arms with fiberfill lightly, sew arms onto body on the light green stripe. Sew the tail on opposite side of bunny’s body.
Ears: Don’t stuff ears. Join cast on row and than saw ears to the top of head. Distance between bunny’s ears is 1 stitch.
Nose, eyes and whiskers: Using black thread make a nose and whiskers. Embroider eyes. Distance between eyes is 2 stitches.


PATTERN – using straight needles

All pieces of toy are worked on straight needles.

Body, head and legs (in one piece ) Knit flat starting from a head.
Cast on 11 stitches using lavender yarn.
Row 1: P all sts
Row 2: K1, (K1, M1) x 9, K1( 20 sts)
Row 3: P all
Row 4: K1, (K3, M1) x 6, K1 ( 26 sts)
Rows 5 - 15:  st st (11 rows)
Change yarn into light green.
Rows 16 - 17: st st (2 rows)
Change yarn into dark green.
Row 18: K
Rows 19 - 27: st st (9 rows)
Change yarn into light green.
Rows 28 - 29: st st (2 rows)
Shaping legs
Now work on 13 sts only.
First leg:
Rows 1 - 6: st st (6 rows)
Row 7: K1, (K2, K2tog) x 3 ( 10 sts)
Row 8: P all
Break yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.
Second leg – Now knit left 13 sts.
First leg:
Rows 1 - 6: st st (6 rows)
Row 7: K1, (K2, K2tog) x 3 ( 10 sts)
Row 8: P all
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Ears (make2 pieces).
 Cast on 11 stitches using light green..
Rows 1 - 10: st st (10 rows).
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Arms ( make 2 pieces)
 Cast on 11 sts using lavender yarn.
Rows 1 - 10: st st (10 rows)
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Tail ( make 1 piece)
Cast on 11 sts using light green yarn.
Rows 1 - 4: st st (4 rows)
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off. Join row ends of the tail.

Make up
Neck and head: Join row ends of the head and body. To shape neck use light green yarn and gather around first knitted row of light green round. Pull up tightly and secure. Sew yarn ends into neck.
Stuff arms with fiberfill lightly, sew arms onto body on the light green stripe. Sew the tail on opposite side of bunny’s body.

Happy Fried Egg - free knitting pattern (knitted round)


The pattern is for free. Happy Fried Egg would be a great gift for your kids or grandkids or just something to knit in between bigger projects :o). It is knitted on double pointed needles. It knits up quickly and is a great way to use up small amounts of yarn.

What you need to make:
MATERIALS:

White:
Cast on 8 stitches using white yarn. Distribute among 4 needles and join.

Rnd 15: K 2tog to end ( 8 sts)
Cut yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather tightly, then fasten off.

Make up:

Stuff yolk with fiberfill lightly then sew it to the center of white using yarn end left when casting on. Use black yarn to sew eyes and egg’s smile.
